Not only is Boston one of the oldest and most significant cities, but The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers itself is rich in history. The hotel is celebrating 80 years of service excellence. Conveniently situated at 64 Arlington Street, the historic hotel is in walking distance from The Theatre District, The State House, Freedom Trail and Beacon Hill. Air Quality – Smoking Policy. Please refrain from wearing any scented products. No smoking is allowed in the hotel or restaurants. Unless you require a service or therapy dog or other credentialed assistance animal, we ask that you not bring companion animals to areas where SSSP members are presenting.
 
Amenities. Each guest room and suite are equipped with cable channels, high speed Internet service (additional charge), in-room movies, climate control, black out curtains, in-room hairdryers, irons and ironing boards and more.

Business Center. The Business Center is a 24 hour self service internet and printing service. Access cards can be purchased at the front desk. A 30 minute access card costs $10. 
 
Dining. The hotel has several dining options. Swans Café Lobby Bar & Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and even has a formal afternoon tea service for finger sandwiches and delicacies Monday through Friday. Bonfire: Celebrated chef Todd English introduces his latest dining concept. Its superb cuisine is essentially Argentinean with European, American, and Mexican influences. The signature open kitchen alongside the back wall provides guests with positive energy and entertainment. Whiskey Park: Enjoy the eclectic sophistication, cocktails, and conversation at the trendy, warm, and intimate bar. McCormick & Schmick’s: The perfect restaurant for any seafood lover. They offer over 40 varieties of fresh fish and seafood from both the Atlantic and Pacific shores. Other pasta, poultry, and beef entrees are also available during lunch and dinner. M.J. O’Connor’s: One of the best-looking Irish bars in the city. They offer a solid beer selection, a fully stocked bar, and an extensive food menu, including Irish box lunches and other specialties (fish and chips, shepherd’s pie). Au Bon Pain: All new hot paninis, artisan breads, beverages, and salads are ideal for breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack or dinner.   A relaxing environment, Au Bon Pain’s bakery roots were born in Boston. Smith & Wollensky’s: The restaurant features a vast selection of prime steaks, pastries, a new Great American Wine list, and beautiful surroundings. Ben & Jerry’s: Offers all natural quality ice creams, sorbets, and yogurts. Finale: For those with a sweet tooth, this upscale dessert café fulfills cravings during a mid-afternoon break, or late-night after a show. Finale was named Best of America’s desserts by the Food Network.
 
Distance to ASA. It is a 15–20 minute walk (or $5 to $10 cab fare) from The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers to the Hynes Convention Center (ASA registration, book exhibit and employment service), Hilton Boston Back Bay and Sheraton Boston (ASA conference hotels). It is a 10–15 minute walk from The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers to the Boston Marriot Copley (ASA conference hotel).

Reservations. To book, modify, or cancel a reservation, go to http://www.starwoodmeeting.com/Book/SOC0725. You can also call 1-800-225-2008 or 1-617-426-2000 (ask for the reservation department) to make your reservation; be sure to request The Society for the Social Problems room rate. It is very important to make your reservation early. Reservations must be confirmed by Monday, July 7 to guarantee our negotiated group rate. Reservations received after July 7 or after the room block is filled, whichever comes first, are subject to availability and rate increase.
 
Our special rates are: $199 per night, Run of House or $299 per night, Towers Level Concierge. Rates are exclusive of tax, which is presently 12.45% and subject to change without notice. Guest room reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. Check-in is 3:00pm and check-out is noon. Cancellations must be made by 6:00pm the day prior to arrival.
