 Hello SSSP Drinking and Drugs Division Members, 
As nine of you know we had our division meeting last Friday. It was great getting a chance to see some folks before the conference and to plan for some of the activities at the 2024 Montreal conference.  
We also put together some committees for the 2024 conference and I wanted to let everyone know where we stand with each of those. 
The Graduate Student Paper award committee is complete, here are the volunteers:

We currently only have one volunteer for the Senior Scholar award committee, luckily, it’s Sam Friedman, but we need one or two more people in that group. Sam has requested that it preferably be people who’ve been around for a while which makes sense given the award. If you’d like to join that committee, please email me and/or Sam. 
Lastly, we also assembled a Conference Planning Committee. At the upcoming Philadelphia conference, I will meet with the other division chairs and have to hammer out the 2024 sessions on the fly. It’s chaotic, so the idea is that this committee can meet before then, to discuss what we want in advance, and prepare me to deliver those results in the actual meeting. Like training Rocky for the big fight, sort of….
