• Discussed ideas on promoting division and expanding membership o Mentorship . Members discussed the vital role of mentorship, voicing that it would be important to encourage members of our division to sign up to be mentors. This was discussed as a great arena for recruitment for the division and retention in SSSP. • Members inquired about any potential data available from the organization on mentorship that we could access 




. Members inquired on whether we had access to membership history that would show if individuals are switching to other divisions or leaving SSSP 




o ASA/SSSP Scheduling Conflicts . Members suggested that we explore the possibility of returning to the old, staggered scheduling, as holding both on the same days may limit member buy in 




o Awards . Members suggested utilizing the listserv to promote our awards and solicit application outside of just the newsletter 




o Surveys . The board asked that chairs asked for section feedback on survey engagement. We discussed the possibility of surveys being solicited during the registration process, check-in, and/or business meetings via QR code 




o Social Media . Discussed increasing our social media presence on X, Instagram, and TikTok 







• Elections o In preparation for the upcoming election for the division chair, Joshua Stout was nominated by members and Rebecca Blackwell was discussed as a second nomination, however she was not in attendance to confirm availability.
