Professor, Criminal Justice and Public Policy, Virginia Commonwealth University. Box 842028, 923 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23284. Email: sbrubaker@vcu.edu Dear Members of the Crime and Juvenile Delinquency Division, I hope you are doing well wherever you are. The Covid-19 pandemic is touching all of us and creating unexpected challenges in our personal and professional lives. Many of us are now teaching or taking classes online, or are unable to work because of social distancing restrictions, or are caring for ill or at-risk family members or friends. All of us are struggling to stay safe while maintaining connections to our personal social networks. It feels extraordinarily difficult some days as we wait to see what changes are coming next, or when there will be an end in sight. But I am also encouraged by the many examples of support and strength that I see each day. I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to visit (and like!) the division Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SSSPCrimeandjuveniledelinquency-101812484618383) and message us with any positive stories, resources, or tools that we can share with our members. Serious or lighthearted, I think we could all use them! Congratulations to our division members who were recently elected to positions in SSSP. Sarah Jane Brubaker is the Vice-President-Elect for 2020-21 and will serve as Vice-President for 2021-22. Glenn Muschert has been re-elected as Secretary. Kristen Budd was elected to serve on the Anti-Harassment Committee. Cynthia Baiqing Zhang was elected to the Membership and Outreach Committee. It is exciting to see the Crime and Juvenile Delinquency Division representing the organization so well. Please watch for news and updates from SSSP.
